Santiago Airport (SCQ) can be easily reached by car from the centre of Santiago de Compostela. Lasting around 15 minutes, the journey takes in the N-547 national main road, which connects Santiago de Compostela with Lugo. The turnoff to the airport is 13 km / 8 miles east of the city. Alternatively, drivers can take the motorway, which connects the Santiago ring road to the N-547.

Hertz and Europcar also have car hire offices at the train station, which is a 10-minute walk from the Old Town of Santiago.
